We’re proud to have received and installed the first community defibrillator, now located just outside the pharmacy and available for the entire community to access at any time.
This important addition was made possible thanks to the donation from the Community Bank of Lindfield, with support from St John Ambulance NSW. It’s part of a wider initiative to make life-saving equipment more accessible where it matters most.
Sudden cardiac arrest can happen without warning. When it does, having access to a defibrillator in those first critical minutes can make all the difference.
By placing this device in a public, easy-to-access location, we’re helping ensure that anyone nearby has the opportunity to act quickly in an emergency.
It’s simpler than you think
One of the biggest concerns people have is not knowing what to do.
But modern defibrillators are designed to guide you. They provide clear, step-by-step voice instructions and will only deliver a shock if it’s needed.
You don’t need medical training. You just need to be willing to help.
Next time you walk past the pharmacy, take a second to notice where the defibrillator is.
It might seem like a small addition. But in the right moment, it could make all the difference. And that’s what community care is all about.
